HOW  TO - Possible to upload improved versions of subtitles? bookmark topic | reload topic

Hello,

I recently uploaded subtitles for a movie, where the texts are fairly accurate, but after reviewing, I noticed a few more mistakes. Is there a way to upload the new versions over the old ones, or do I have to upload them again and create a new page, which then only confuses the downloader? All I want to do is upload these fixed subtitles over what I've already uploaded. BTW, would be doing this on the subscene website. Thanks!

No...what you could do though is post here wich subtitle you have fixed and give us the old link and the new link. That way people with the appropriate rights can delete your old subtitle and that way only the new one can be found using a search.

Hope this answers your question and thanks for uploading subtitles!

Very well sad ScHiZo. I have added this thread to the General Overview section "Adding threads, articles, subtitles".

Nevermind folks. I figured it out. For those of you that want to do in this situation, basically you have to delete the version you don't want, and upload the one you do. You can access and edit the subtitles you've uploaded by clicking on the "my recent subtitles" link. Once you're here, find the sub you want to delete. To the left of the movie's name is "edit". Click here. In this first box, where the settings for the movie are, at the bottom underneath "save settings" is the box "delete". That deletes the sub. To upload, just do what you normally do!

That is good to know. Didn't know that. Even better that this gets added to the general overview!
