The Review:
Dekalog director Krzysztof Kieslowski made this silent short film in mid 60’ as an assignment for a film school he was in at that time. At his early age you can see that he doesn’t want to go over his head and knows how to exploit the limited resources.

This film is about a boy meeting a girl on public transport. Restricted to only two characters Kieslowski did everything in his power to show the tension between them. The visual narrative style is definitely affected by the French New Wave.

You could recognize the sparks of genius here: The devoted attention to details, fast unconventional editing and simple yet beautiful story. All of those would be explored in his later films.
