I have a avi file that i need to schrink from 217mb to 15 mb.
Is there a wat to do that...doesent matter if the quality gets a bit poor.

If that is not possible witch program can i use the cut  some pieces out of it.
Im not a pro in this stuf so recommend me some easy things .

Canopus ProCoder does a great job of compressing any videofile..

you can cut out pieces with virtualdub

gordianknot, you set the size and it does the rest. just demux the audio with nandub before, and add it in the end... go to doom.org for further help.

Easyiest way: extract the sound to an mp3 or wav file. Use a program to save that sound file to a lower quality. Combine the new file with the avi using nandub or alike.

that's a good suggestion, however you will never go from 217 mbs to 15 only reducing the audio quality... you should have a wav or pcm original audio and go to a 32k mp3, but most likely the sound is already compressed...

however Diablo check your pms pls.

I’m wondering what u want to do after u cut avi file to some pieces of 15M files, u want to import them into portable player such as iPod ? if that’s the case, u can make it by setting Start Time and Duration via ImTOO MPEG Encoder, meanwhile, u can output iPod supported files.
