I get this error when  i try to join 2 avi files in Virtual Dub.

" Couldnt locate decompressor for format 'XVID' [unknown].
Virtual Dub requires a Video for Windows [VFW] compatible codec to decompress
video. Direct show codecs such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct Steam Copy' is available for this video.

How can i fix this error please, any1?

regards

do you have the latest xvid codec installed?

What Lyli says : you don't seem to have an XviD codec installed.
(RafkeP recommends Koepi's XviD build :o) )

Furthermore : if you only want to join 2 files and nothing more you need to set both video and audio to direct stream copy.
According to the error you get, you don't even need the XviD codec in that case.
