Well, im around now pretty long but i've never cutted a scene out of a movie file...
so how do i do that? i allreay looked at doom9.org, i can find it.. but if i open nan/virtual dub its sais it doesnt support XviD so where can i get those files/codecs...

Yeah you should use NanDUB (as it supports vbr mp3).

You'll need to install the actual XViD codec though (I assume you are using something like ffdshow to allow playback of xvid's at the moment but you need the full codec for nan/vdub).

Get it here:

it quite easy once you know how, have a look at http://www.videohelp.com/ there should be some good shit on there!

good luck IM me if you have any problems!

Just select the with the in and out points, use direct copy for both video and audio (i think from memory) and save as old avi, or if big ude segmented,  avi.

Note: When saveing out make sure you go into opions and check they are all correct on the select file name window!

i tried your way rezsbc, but i got an uncopressed movie file of 9GB which wasnt even 15 min long :P
so convert it back in to xvid could also be a solution?

thur you need to set the video and audio to "direct stream copy"
that way it just cuts and doesn't decompress/recompress anything

good luck
and you know where to find me :)
